Electrochemical measurements have been used to characterize the electr
ochromic behaviour of spray pyrolyzed MoO3 thin films. The films have
been prepared by spraying ammonium molybdate solution on conducting (F
TO) glass substrates at 250 and 350 degrees C substrate temperatures.
These films exhibited cathodic electrochromism and displayed reversibl
e electrochromic property from transparent to deep blue, when cycled i
n 1 NH2SO4 electrolyte. Cyclic voltametry, chrono- amperometric and op
tical absorption studies have also been carried out.
