M. Osterfeld et H. Franke, THERMOOPTIC INVESTIGATION OF CLAMPED FERROELECTRIC POLYMER-FILMS, Applied physics. A, Solids and surfaces, 58(6), 1994, pp. 589-593
Attenuated total reflection leaky-mode spectroscopy is used for a ther
mo-optical investigation of a clamped film of the ferroelectric vinyli
dene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer. A hysteresis loop for the o
ptical parameters refractive index and film thickness is found for a f
ull temperature cycle between 25-degrees-C and 60-degrees-C. In the vi
cinity of the ferroelectric/paraelectric phase transition increased op
tical losses are found.
