The Fourier Transform infrared photoacoustic spectra of tetra-(para-hy
droxyphenyl) porphyrin and its Cr(III), Mn(III), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(I
I), Cu(II) and Zn(Il) complexes in the range 3 700 similar to 200 cm(-
1) were measured and investigated. There exist intermolecular hydrogen
bonds in the porphyrin and its complexes, The vibration coupling betw
een the M-N stretching and the porphyrin ring deformation appears at 2
50 cm(-1), The band at 316 cm(-1) is stretching vibration of M(III)-Cl
, Metal sensitive bands were found at about 1 550, 1 350, 1 076, 1 000
and 250 cm(-1).
