Abstract
The molecule of the title compound, C17H22N2O2, consists of a piperidi n-4-one ring trans fused to a cyclohexane moiety. The piperidine ring has a twist conformation. The ring N atom has a trigonal planar geomet ry. The cyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation. The nitroso grou p is almost coplanar to the best plane of the piperidine ring. The phe nyl ring is in the axial position.
