Hr. Zhao et Ga. Koretzky, REGULATION OF SIGNAL-TRANSDUCTION THROUGH THE T-CELL ANTIGEN RECEPTOR, The Journal of laboratory and clinical medicine, 130(2), 1997, pp. 126-131
Considerable work from numerous laboratories has provided important in
sights into the biology of T cell activation. Much has been learned ab
out the most proximal signaling events that occur after engagement of
the T cell antigen receptor and other cell-surface receptors on T lymp
hocytes. However, our understanding of how various signaling pathways
are integrated, resulting in cellular proliferation and cytokine produ
ction or conversely leading to programmed cell death, is far from comp
lete. We summarize what is now known about some of the proximal signal
s that result from engagement of the T cell antigen receptor and how s
ome of these signals are linked to cellular responses.
