The amplitude modulation of low-degree solar p-modes obtained from the
analysis of daily data observed at IRIS station at Kumbel (Uzbekistan
) is discussed using the statistical approach of Gabriel (1993). It is
found that the dispersion in peak energy reflects mainly the length o
f the daily observations. We conclude that there is no contradiction b
etween observations and theory and if observational results are taken
at face value, we can rule out some type of mode correlations.
