AN INVERSE PROBLEM RELATED TO THE DETERMINATION OF ELASTOPLASTIC PROPERTIES OF A PLATE

The problem of determining the elastoplastic properties of a plate fro m an experimentally given relation between middle plane deflections an d loads at some points on the plate is investigated. This problem lead s to the inverse coefficient problem for the nonlinear differential eq uation of order four. The coefficient dependence of the nonlinear dire ct problem solution is studied. Then, reformulating the inverse proble m as a minimization problem for a certain functional, the main existen ce theorem for the inverse problem considered is presented. The numeri cal algorithm and examples related to direct and inverse problems are considered.
