Ad. Bandrauk et al., CONTROLLING ELECTRONS WITH INTENSE LASER AND MAGNETIC-FIELDS, International journal of quantum chemistry, 64(5), 1997, pp. 613-617
Combinations of circularly polarized intense laser pulses (I greater t
han or equal to 10(14) W/cm(2)) and intense magnetic fields (B similar
or equal to 10(7) gauss) are shown to lead to control of electron orb
its in atoms and molecules. in particular, it is proposed to use such
intense field experiments to produce high-order harmonic generation in
to the ultraviolet and X-ray regions. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
