Abstract
Absence of the long head of the biceps tendon was detected during arth roscopic evaluation of shoulder pain in a weight-lifter. Magnetic reso nance imaging and ultrasound showed the presence of a hypoplastic tend on with altered depth and width of the bicipital groove. The tendon-gl enoid insertion shown by magnetic resonance imaging was apparently nor mal.
