Abstract
A study was carried out during 1992-93 and 1993-94 on integrated weed management, comprising interculture operations, hand-weeding and use o f selective herbicides in irrigated linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) a t Raipur pre-or post-emergence application of isoproturon @ 1.0 kg a.i ./ha proved as good as 2 hand-weedings 30 and 60 days after sowing for controlling the weeds. Seed yield was at par in these treatments. Eff ective control of weeds significantly increased the branches/plant and capsules/plant over the control and contributed to increased yields. Supplementation of interculture operations 30 and 15 days after sowing with pre-and post-emergence application of herbicides respectively di d not improve control of weeds appreciably over the respective herbici des applied alone.
