Abstract
Using the solubility isotherm method, the two ternary-systems REI3-CS( NH2)(2)-H2O(R-E = Sm, Dy) have been studied. The dithiourea adducts of R-E(R-E = Sm, Dy) iodide (i.e. REI3 .[CS(NH2)(2)](2) . 10H(2)O), cont aining ten water molecules, were found in the two systems. The conditi ons of their preparation have been determined. The melting points, den sity, infrared spectrums and X-ray diffracation data of the two adduct s have been recorded.
