Abstract
The model compounds of estrogenic steroid - bisporphyrins (3a) and est rogenic steroid monoporphyrin (4a) have been synthesized by the reacti on of porphyrin 1 with acyl. choride of estradiol 2 followed by insert ing of metal ion. The structures and configurations of 3a,4a,and the c orresponding precursors 3 and 4 were confirmed by UV - Vis, IR, H-1 NM R spectra and elemental analysis. The catalytic property of 3a towards oxidation of p - benzenediol was investigated.
