Excitation functions of B-11(alpha,p)C-14 reaction have been measured
from 3 to 7.7 MeV in 50 or 100 keV steps. The angle-integrated cross-s
ection has been used to calculate C-14 production in an uranium minera
l as a function of the boron content. Comparison is made with C-14 pro
duction from the radioactive (exotic) decay of members of the uranium
