Abstract
Intracoronary stent implantation is generally accepted as a good coron ary interventional procedure for ''bail-out'' situations during percut aneous transluminal angioplasty (PTCA). Comparative studies to determi ne the importance of stent implantation for treatment of de novo lesio ns and restenosis after PTCA are under way.
