J. Farcy et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MIXED-OXIDE FE0.11V2O5.16 AS A LI INTERCALATION COMPOUND, Solid state ionics, 99(1-2), 1997, pp. 61-69
The electrochemical properties of a new mixed oxide Fe0.11V2O5.16 as a
Li intercalation compound are investigated in relation with structura
l characteristics. The x variation of the chemical diffusion coefficie
nt for lithium ions is determined from a.c. impedance spectroscopy mea
surements on a wide composition range 0<x<1.8. <(D)over tilde (Li)> is
found to be strongly dependent on x in LixFe0.11V2O5.16. These result
s are completed by XRD investigation performed on reduced electrodes.
Ferric ions located in octahedral sites of V2O5 stabs act as stabilizi
ng agents of the host lattice in that emergence of lithiated phases re
lated to epsilon and gamma structure is delayed towards deeper depths
of discharge than in the case of LixV2O5.
