Rz. Wang et al., STUDY ON A NEW SOLID ABSORPTION-REFRIGERATION PAIR - ACTIVE-CARBON FIBER METHANOL, Journal of solar energy engineering, 119(3), 1997, pp. 214-218
Our experiments show that active carbon fiber (ACF) might be a good su
bstitute for activated carbon (AC) as the refrigeration capacity Q(f)
and adsorption time of ACF are three times more and 1.5 similar to 1/1
0 of those of normal activated carbon (AC), respectively. The COP for
ACF-methanol could be 10 percent similar to 20 percent higher than tha
t of AC-methanol. Thus ACF-methanol might be a good adsorption refrige
ration pair for constructing adsorption refrigerators, especially thos
e for household applications.
