The paper deals with thermal behaviour of some celluloses and trimethy
lsilyl celluloses, along with the evaluation of the compensation effec
t for the studied samples. The data processed by the TG and respective
ly, DTG method, correlated with the mechanism of thermal degradation,
suggest a kinetic compensation effect, supramolecular structure playin
g in this case an important role. In this way, the compensation equati
on : In A = 0.3E -1, is obtained.
