Abstract
The measurement results and diurnal, seasonal and meteorological varia tion of the atmospheric spectral transparency in 1984-1992 are present ed. The peculiarities in 1991-1992 are connected with the Pinatubo vol cano eruption. An optically ''equivalent'' aerosol model to compare th e measured and calculated data is proposed.
