Abstract
We propose a new method to determine reflection coefficients for nonsi nusoidal electromagnetic waveforms containing only a few oscillations. This method is suitable for studies of wideband pulses which cannot b e treated by the traditional Fourier techniques. The incident waveform is described by means of Hermitian functions in order to illustrate h ow the reflection is influenced by the pulse shape and duration.
