Mb. Zaman et al., CHARGE-TRANSFER COMPLEX OF A NEW ACCEPTOR CYANANILATE WITH TETRAMETHYLTETRATHIAFULVALENE, (TMTTF)(2)HCNAL, Chemistry Letters, (8), 1997, pp. 729-730
Cyananilic acid (H(2)CNAL) gave a charge-transfer complex with tetrame
thyltetrathiafulvalene, (TMTTF)(2)HCNAL, in which the acceptor forms a
hydrogen-bonded ribbon arrangement and the donor forms a columnar sta
cking. The ionicity of the donor is estimated as +0.5. The electrical
conductivity is 0.03 Scm(-1) with the activation energy of 0.05 eV. Th
e magnetic spin susceptibility is described in terms of a one-dimensio
nal antiferromagnet.
