T. Serizawa et M. Akashi, ACCUMULATION OF CATIONIC-POLYMER GRAFTED POLY(STYRENE) NANOSPHERES ONTO AN ANIONIC-POLYMER SURFACE, Chemistry Letters, (8), 1997, pp. 809-810
Styrene nanospheres bearing cationic-polymers such as poly(vinylamine)
on their surfaces were accumulated on an anionic-polymer surface by b
oth electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions. Quantitative analyses
of the adsorption amount by a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) reveal
ed that the adsorption behavior of the nanospheres was strongly influe
nced by the ionic strength in aqueous solution of the nanosphere.
