RKKY INTERACTION IN THE METALLIC PHASE OF COPPER OXIDES

Assuming the CuO2 planes in copper oxides as space charge layers we de rive the form of the indirect RKKY interlayer exchange interaction in the metallic phase of the system. From first principle calculations we show that the RYKY reminiscent range function exhibits a long oscilla tory period characteristic for synthetic multilayers (quantum-well sys tems).
