Chromosomes of Acanthocephalus lucii (Muller, 1776) were observed usin
g conventional staining techniques. The number of chromosomes in femal
es and in their developing eggs (2n = 8) as well as the mean (L-a) and
relative length (L-r) of the chromosomes and the localization of the
centromere (I-c) were determined. Peculiarities in the behaviour of th
e chromosomes are also described.
