Gc. Bond et al., INVESTIGATION OF THE EUROCAT V2O5 TIO2 CATALYSTS AND OF THE TIO2 SUPPORT BY SECONDARY-ION MASS-SPECTROMETRY/, Catalysis today, 20(1), 1994, pp. 125-134
The V2O5/TiO2 materials and the TiO2 support have been studied by seco
ndary-ion mass spectrometry in three laboratories, using respectively
static, dynamic and intermediate modes. Phosphorus, potassium and niob
ium are present as significant impurities; titanium-containing ions pr
edominate in all three materials, but there is some evidence for the f
ormation of mixed ions of the type TiVO(x+). The concordance of these
results with structural models developed from other techniques is disc
ussed.
