The study of hemostatic system in patients with psoriatic arthritis (P
A) has revealed a significant enhancement of coagulation, growth in pr
othrombin comsumption, high concentration of fibrinogen and prothrombi
n index in all the PA patients. These changes were more pronounced in
synovial and synovial-osteal affection of the joints. It is shown that
PA patients develop coagulation defects with predominant hypercoagula
tion shifts enabling early articular impairment.
