Abstract
It has been shown recently that some plant transcription factors that regulate cell fate during development can traffic through plasmodesmat a - the intercellular channels that connect plant cells. This phenomen on helps explain the non-autonomous effects of many developmental muta tions in plants and defines a novel mechanism by which cells signal to each other during development.
