C. Gorlicki et R. Schauble, HOW VALID IS THE WST FOR INTELLIGENCE ASS ESSMENT, Zeitschrift fur klinische Psychologie, Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, 45(4), 1997, pp. 367-375
This research is based on data from 92 psychiatric patients who were e
xamined with the HAWIE-R as well as the WST. It was sought to ascertai
n whether the aspect of intelligence, which is measured by means of th
e WST, correlates with the intelligence quotients of the HAWIE-R. Desp
ite a statistically significant correlation by the HAWIE-R and the WST
respectively, earlier results which showed a higher value using a cla
ssification with a short test could be confirmed for the WST. The resu
lts support that premorbid intelligencelevels are established by the W
ST as opposed to the HAWIE-R.
