Abstract
A pressure transducer has been developed using a metallic resonating t uning fork. The fork has ken mounted horizontally across two pillars w hich are an integral part of the diaphragm of a pressure transducer. T he displacement of the. diaphragm induces an axial force in the fork. The applied stress causes the natural frequency of the fork to increas e, The experimental pressure transducer has a linear characteristic ov er its 6 bar range with repeatability better than 0.1%, and hysteresis of 0.1% of the range.
