This article focuses on the prospects for pay-TV in the UK over the ne
xt 10 years, The major development on the horizon is the advent of dig
ital television the introduction of which has the potential to signifi
cantly increase the demand for pay-TV services, This article examines
some of the key issues and, with reference to both a bottom-up and top
-down approach, provides projections of industry revenues and hardware
