Abstract
During a study of social behaviour in a group of nine captive Livingst one's fruit bats Pteropus livingstonii at Jersey Wildlife preservation Trust (JWPT), a detailed ethogram was constructed, As well as descrip tions of behaviours, additional information is given on their context and functions, to aid interpretation. The behaviours recorded are disc ussed with reference to previous work on Pteropus species, The study f ollowed the group's move to a new enclosure, which is described.
