Ms. Khan et al., SOME INTERESTING RESULTS ON COMPOUND MULTIPLICITY IN C-12-NUCLEUS REACTIONS AT 4.5-A GEV C/, Canadian journal of physics, 75(8), 1997, pp. 549-557
An attempt was made to investigate some interesting characteristics of
compound multiplicity in C-12-nucleus collisions at 4.5 A GeV/c; the
number of grey and shower particles taken together is termed as compou
nd multiplicity. The result reveals that the compound multiplicity dis
tributions become wider with increasing size of the struck nucleus. Th
e value of the ratio [N-c]/D(N-c) is seen to remain independant of the
projectile mass. Moreover, the dispersion of the multiplicity distrib
ution is found to increase linearly with increasing value of [N-c]. Fi
nally, the results also suggest that the value of inclination coeffici
ent does not depend on the nature of the projectile.
