Abstract
Lipase from Candida cylindracea was used to catalyze the enantioselect ive esterification in isooctane to resolve naproxen. The conversion wa s 33.5% over 11 days. The enantiomer excess of product (ee(p)%) was ab out 100% at this conversion when octanol acted as the other substrate.
