Abstract
An equation for calculating the cement content in concretes made with aluminous cement is proposed, based on determining the Fe2O3 content o f the concrete, assuming that the proportions of this oxide, as provid ed by the manufacturing company, throughout the production process are very stable. The values are corrected according to the Fe2O3 content of the aggregates. The Fe content is determined by x-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF).
