PEUTZ-JEGHERS POLYPOSIS WITH MALIGNANCY I N THE TERMINAL ILEUM

A 52 year old patient had an episode of rectal bleeding for the first lime. He was submitted to an endoscopical exploration. The histologica l examination showed a Peutz-Jeghers-Polyposis. Most of the polyps in the small and large bowel were removed endoscopically and by surgery. The rare neoplastic transformation (focal carcinoma) in a Peutz-Jegher s-Polyp of the terminal ileum with a melastasis in a lymph node was fo und. The risk of malignant conversion and the medical procedure in Peu tz-Jeghers-Polyposis are described.
