Abstract
A technique for surgical ablation of the cranial portion of the preput ial cavity including the preputial diverticulum in pigs is described. The technique was performed on a 5-month-old 83.2-kg (183-lb) Hampshir e barrow that had ulceration and fibrosis of the preputial cavity seco ndary to chronic preputial diverticulitis. The pig recovered without d ifficulties and was able to urinate normally after surgery.
