Abstract
A new method is presented for measuring aerosols in the range of 0.3 t o 10 micrometers. The new method delivers the results immediately by m easuring the aerosol portions which pass the impactor separation steps with a photometer, while, with normal cascade impactors the evaluatio n of the results is achieved by analysing the aerosol samples in the l aboratory. The measuring procedure, the evaluation of the photometer s ignals and the presentation of the results are controlled by a laptop computer.
