Abstract
Liquid and weakly oxidized rubidium may intercalate into graphite, lea ding to a first stage compound with intermediate alkali double layers, which are stabilized by small amounts of oxygen atoms. The chemical f ormula of this quasi-binary compound is close to RbC4.
