Abstract
An efficient, stereoselective synthesis ,14-difluoro-13-hydroxy-9(Z),1 1(E)-octadecadienoic acid ((R)-14,14-difluorocoriolic acid) 2 starting from D-glyceraldehyde acetonide via the key intermediate (R)-3,3-difl uoro-1,2-dihydroxyheptane 9 is reported.
