Abstract
Theoretical and numerical simulations of inelastic light scattering by dielectric microspheres (sizes about 5-15 mu m) irradiated with laser light of angular frequency omega(0) are presented. Applying a superpo sition of induced dipoles inside the particle volume, the so-called mo rphology-dependent resonances (MDRs) in Raman spectra are calculated. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
