Abstract
We have fabricated perovskite La1-xKxMnO3 (x = 0.14 and 0.2) thin film s on SrTiO3 (100) by e-beam/thermal coevaporation. From the electrical and magnetic studies, we found a simultaneous occurrence of the param agnetic to ferromagnetic state and insulating to metallic state, as pr edicted by the double exchange theory. The magnetoresistance is relati vely small compared to that of the divalent cation doped La(1-x)A(x)Mn O(3) in fields up to 5 T. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
