mental factors i.e. soil, air and water around Magnesite and Mineral C
o. Ltd. of Chandak, situated in Pithoragarh District of Kumaun Himalay
a. Soil and water near the factory has alkaline pH (9.3 and 9.6). Soil
organic carbon and nitrogen was very low 0.08% and 0.010% in polluted
sites. Only some shrubs of Rumex hastatus and saplings of Pinus roxbu
rghii were reported.
