EFFECT OF CULTURE FILTRATES OF FUNGI ON MORTALITY OF LARVAE OF DACUS-CUCURBITAE

Studies have been made to determine the effect of culture filtrates of Trichothecium roseum Link, Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn (non-pathogenic st rain). Epicoccum purpurascens Ehrenberg and Aspergillus niger Van Tieg h on larvae of Dacus cucurbitae Cog. The culture filtrate of R. solani proved to be more effective when compared with other culture filtrate s of other fungi on prolonged exposure. With the dilution of culture f iltrate the inhibitory effect of culture was reduced.
