Abstract
Following a lengthy gestation period, metal matrix composites (MMCs) a re now achieving commercial success as a result of their weight, perfo rmance, and cost benefits. Many of the processing and finishing proble ms initially encountered have been solved, allowing complex components to be produced routinely. Aerospace Metal Composites (AMC) is at the forefront of these developments, as a producer and processor of advanc ed PM materials.
