Research into how Swedish students learn has mainly been based on qual
itative methods. Ln this paper we report evidence of the appropriatene
ss of a Sweden version of the Biggs' Study Process Questionnaire for 1
49 Swedish students in education. The questionnaire's scales were mode
rately internally consistent and showed the expected underlying factor
structure. Scores on the scales correlated as predicted with a measur
e of self-esteem. Possible uses of this questionnaire with Swedish stu
dents are discussed.
