Abstract
A recent multicenter study Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DA SH), demonstrates that a diet emphasizing fruits, vegetables, and low- fat dairy products that provides calcium, magnesium, and potassium at the 75th percentile of American intake produces an antihypertensive ef fect comparable to that achieved with many pharmacologic interventions .
