Abstract
Two pseudogenes of U6 RNA from a tomato genomic library were isolated
and sequenced. Both of them contain a full length, rather than a trunc
ated 'coding region' and are likely to have been generated by RNA-medi
ated mechanisms. This is the first report on the occurrence in plants
of pseudogenes combining the above two features.
