Abstract
Malignant gastrinoma is a nonbeta islet cell tumor which rarely dissem inates to the bone. However, in the case reported herein, diffuse meta static bone disease with symptomatic epidural spread developped. Somat ostatin and 99mTc-HDP bone scans demonstrated hot spots in the same si tes, establishing that the bone lesions contained somatostatin recepto r. Irradiation was effective in relieving pain.
