We have built a 20 x 20 mm(2) high-resolution (60 mu m FWHM) two-dimen
sional multiwire proportional counter for X-ray speckle spectroscopy.
The detector works with a 10 bar Ar/C2H6 (80/20) mixture. The position
is determined by the delay line method (T-D = 1 mu s) and has a time
resolution in the microsecond range.
