The magnetic susceptibility of a single crystal of the magnetic semico
nductor ZnMn2As2 has been investigated in the paramagnetic region for
the first time. It is shown that this compound behaves as a ferrimagne
t with two magnetic sublattices. The molecular field constants and eff
ective moment values are determined for the Mn ions in two different c
rystallographic positions, corresponding to tetrahedral and octahedral
coordinations by the As ions, respectively.
