Abstract
The Nucleotide sequence of a 4286-nt fragment of Bacillus amyloliquefa ciens chromosome was analyzed. The live structural genes for riboflavi n biosynthesis were shown to form a linkage group similar in structure to the riboflavin operon of B. subtilis. Cross-regulation of riboflav in biosynthesis in B. subtilis and B. amyloliquefaciens allows a commo n mechanism of transcription regulation to be assumed.
